Our Story
Iggy & Bailey's Rescue Friends is a 501c3 organization, founded on March 22, 2024 by Lindsay Malanog . This date marks the 1 year anniversary of when her beloved shih-tzu, Iggy (right), crossed over rainbow bridge. This loss was tragically sudden and unexpected due to an unknown & undiagnosed terminal illness.

After Iggy’s sudden passing and as another one of her Senior pups, Bailey (left), continues to decline in his health from old age, Lindsay was motivated to help other senior and special needs rescue pets in need of another chance or better quality of life.

We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing funding directly to accredited shelters & rescues to assist the costs of adoption, post adoption behavior for "diamond dogs" and to cover medical costs that include a variety of needs. Our focus is supporting the financial costs specifically to senior, special needs or other diamonds in the rough pets.
As we continue to grow our organization, we aim for a long term goal to active rescue and service those animals ourselves. Until then, we will make the most impact in the best way that we can.
Doggie Day Outings
Another way we support the rescue community is to volunteer for Doggie Day Outings whether it is with our local shelters or abroad. Not only do we get a doggie for the day but these doggies get a day outside the shelter. This provides awareness through practice together with our friends & family but also through the co
